To promote and encourage environmental learning and literacy, NaDEET aims to provide relevant written materials. These include our core project, the Bush Telegraph, and other complimentary projects such as our new activity book It's Time To Change.

Activity Book
This activity book includes 13 full pages of fun-filled activities to demonstrate the environmental impact of our daily lifestyle choices. It makes environmentalism come alive by illustrating solutions to environmental problems typical for Namibia and particularly focuses on the Namib Desert ecosystem. Explore the book with the two main characters Sustainable Sara and Addy the Horned Adder. While Sustainable Sara helps you to take a critical look at our living habits, Addy the Horned Adder will open your eyes to the “lessons” we all can learn by looking to nature as a teacher.

Bush Telegraph
The Bush Telegraph is a youth mini-magazine that is available at no cost to all learners, educators and interested citizens in Namibia. Since its original inception as the Carnivore Times, the now Bush Telegraph has grown from a readership of 500 to over 10,000. The Bush Telegraph is produced bi-annually and covers a variety of environmental topics relevant to the Namibian context. Readers are engaged with the topic through articles, activity suggestions, games, contest and pictures.
