Environmental issue:
Namibia has a unique, varied biodiversity, which is at risk because of:
- A lack of awareness and understanding
- habitat loss
- Pollution

NaDEET activity: Through a variety of outdoor activities children are exposed to the fascinating Namib biodiversity. These activities include a dune walk, catch and release trapping of insects, arachnids and small mammals, and dune boarding. The emphasis is on exploring the adaptations of the living things to see what we humans can learn from them. These outdoor activities are followed up by indoor projects such as making biodiversity posters and paper ′food chains′. All activities aim to develop understanding and desire for protecting our nature.
